A Power Bank is a small portable charger which contains a battery and are used for recharging your phones and electronic devices while youre away from home or the office so you can continue using your Mobile Phone when it would have otherwise run out of power. They are know by a variety of names for example Power Bank Chargers, Phone Chargers and Portable Chargers.
In simple terms they contain a battery which you first charge at home or the office using a USB cable to plug them into the mains electric wall socket or they can be charged from a PC or Laptop and once charged you put it on your bag or pocket and take it with you. Depending on the size of the Power Bank they make take a few hours to full charge itself fully. They do contain an electronic circuit board which tells them to stop charging once fully charged to prevent over charging but as a safety tip its always best to charge them under supervision and not leave them unattended while they are being charged.
It depends on the size of battery or batteries contained in the charger and there are lots of different styles of Power Banks available on the market today.
To determine the charging power they offer you are looking for their charge output measured in MAH (Milli Amps per Hour) so a Power Bank with 2600mah will offer more charging capability than a 2000mah Power Banks but of course a larger battery means they will cost a bit more. The Power Banks generally used by our customers for Promotional giveaways is generally around 2,200Mah which will charge most phones at least once but it all depends on the device or phone you are charging. For more power hungry Smart Phones with a larger battery themselves say for example 2,800Mah then a 2,200Mah Power Banks will only charge up to about 75% of full capacity before the Power Bank runs out but even so thats a lot of calls or Facebooking you couldnt otherwise do without a Power Bank to hand.
Some of our customers choose larger capacity Power Banks with a power output of 10,000Mah which means you could charge most devices 3 or 4 times before needing to recharge the Power Bank, again but these are more expensive.
There a number of ways of branding a Power Bank in most cases depending on whether their case is made of plastic or metal. If the Power Bank is made of plastic then we can print a logo or message or if its metal again we can print them but its better to engrave them so that the logo is permanently branded onto them as print can rub off over time particularly if they are used frequently. We can also print the card boxes they are supplied in.
This is an example of a Power Bank which has been printed with a 1 colour logo
The next way we can brand a Power Bank with more complex full colour designs or photos using what we call a "Dome" which is a like a label with a plastic lens over the top which is glued to the Power Bank.
If it's a flat Credit Card Power Bank we can print full colour using a special printer direct to the surface of the Power Bank in full colour.
This is a new technique called Panoprinting which allows us to wrap print your design on all side of the Power Bank
And it you really want a full customised Power Bank we can even make the case in a bespoke 3D PVC case
It depends on the battery size, the quantities ordered and how they are branded so for example an order for 100 basic 2,200Mah Power Bank will cost around £5 each but a 10,000Mah Power Bank would cost around £15-£20 each.
